job description

In this research assistant position, you will support us in systematically leveraging the previously untapped informational potential of response times in existing (experimental) datasets. You will build a structured database of relevant studies, prepare them for reanalysis, and conduct initial evaluations. In this way, you will contribute directly to the further development of our research agenda. Optionally, you can also contribute to the revision of teaching materials.

Tasks

  • Literature review and study selection
Identification of suitable experimental studies with response time data
  • Database development and maintenance
Structured recording and documentation of relevant studies and datasets
  • Data preparation and analysis
Preparation of datasets and conducting initial reanalyses
  • Research support
Preparation of results and support for scientific papers
  • Optional: Teaching
Assistance with lecture materials

Requirements

The candidate must be matriculated in a bachelor's or master's program in economics (or a related field) at a Swiss university. Interest in behavioral economics, possibly with the intention of pursuing a PhD later. Strong analytical skills and experience working with data (e.g., in R, Python, or Stata) are a plus. A meticulous and structured approach to work, as well as good English skills, are required.
