The Assistant Professorship Tenure Track for Psychological Methods and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will focus on the development and evaluation of AI methods and advanced statistical methods (e.g., machine learning, modeling of intensive longitudinal data). In terms of teaching, the professorship is responsible for the entire range of methodological training for psychology students in the bachelor's program. In addition, the professor should actively participate in the development of a concept for advising the staff of the Institute of Psychology on the application of AI and advanced statistical methods. Cooperation with other departments of the institute and the faculty in the application of the developed methods is desirable. Upon positive evaluation, promotion to an associate professorship is planned.Requirements
Requirements for employment are a PhD in psychology, excellent scientific achievements appropriate to the career level (publications, third-party funding), the potential to establish an innovative and forward-looking research program in the field of psychological methods research and artificial intelligence, as well as relevant experience in academic teaching. The successful candidate is expected to be able to teach in German by the end of the tenure track.About the University of Bern
